WVES PTA Communications 10/7/2018

THANKS FOR VOTING Thanks to everyone who voted on the fate of Mr. Smith at the Wildcat Walk-a-Thon.  Votes were tallied and his fate is:  COVERED IN PIES!  If we reach our stretch goal of $27,500, one teacher from every grade and the Wildcat will each be given a pie to throw at Mr. Smith.  He will be covered in messy pies and we are certain the kids and teachers will love it!

WILDCAT WALK-A-THON PRIZE UPDATE
As you know, money raised from the Walk-a-Thon will fund programs like assemblies, field trips, a visit from an Author, family events, technology and books for classes, after-school programs and much, much more!  But there are some other benefits to raising money - fabulous prizes!  Here is a list of what kids and classes can earn by raising money for the Walk-a-Thon this year:

  • If we reach our $20,000 goal - every student will be given a free pass to Bowling Palace, a coupon for a free cone or cookie at Chick-fil-A, and a soft pretzel at an upcoming lunch.

  • If we reach our stretch goal of $27,500 - one teacher from each grade and the Wildcat will get to throw pies at Mr. Smith!

  • The top earner from each grade on Walk day will help carry the Walk-a-Thon banner and lead our walk.

  • The top individual earner will get a $250 gift card to Target.

  • The second highest earner will get a "Make it, Bake it, Take it" party for 8 from The Crafty Chef Academy.

  • The third highest earner will get a free week of camp at Miss Betty's Day camp (plus a guest pass).

  • The top-earning class will get a lunch catered by Chick-fil-A, delivered by the cow and 15 min extra recess.

  • The second-place class will get a pizza party from Carmine's.

  • The third-place class will get a tin of pretzels from the Unique Pretzel bakery for each student.

  • Raffle Prizes including an American Girl Doll, Tickets to the Turkey Hill Experience, a WV Spiritwear package, a Chick-fil-A prize pack including dinner for 4, gift cards to Applebee's, Liberty Union, Monkey Fish Toys, Barnes & Noble, Lani Ice, Primo Hoagies, Scholastic dollars good at our WV book fairs, and more.  Note:  Every child will be entered into our raffle but for every $20 a child raises, they will earn an additional entry for our raffle prizes.

There are only 10 days until the Wildcat Walk-a-Thon and the tally as of Tuesday was about $11,000 so we have much more to raise to reach our goal!  Donations can be made at www.westvincentpta.org.
