What we’re building

A buddy bench

So any student who's feeling left out has an easy way to find a friend.

A painted blacktop

A giant U.S. map kids can hop across state by state, plus a lily pad path and other games that'll change recess for years to come.

A nature trail and outdoor classroom

So any student who's feeling left out has an easy way to find a friend.

Walk-a-Thon dollars also help subsidize field trips and keep our family events free for everyone.

Let the dollar wars begin!

We're skipping PledgeStar this year and going old school with a friendly battle between classrooms. Every class has a donation bucket from now through the end of the day on Friday, October 16.

Dollar bills and checks in your own class's bucket add to your class total
$5 and $10 bills in another class's bucket subtract from their score (every dollar still goes to WVES, so nobody really loses!)
Online, Venmo, and PayPal donations count toward the class of the student you name

IMPORTANT

Class standings lock at 11:59 PM on Thursday, October 15.

We'll keep accepting donations through Friday; they just won't count toward class prizes. The top three classes each pick a class prize, like extra recess or a dance party.

Subject: Help [Student]'s class win the Wildcat Walk-a-Thon!

Hi [Name],

On Friday, October 16, [Student] is lacing up for West Vincent Elementary's 8th annual Wildcat Walk-a-Thon, the PTA's biggest fundraiser of the year.

This year, the money raised is going toward a playground makeover, including a buddy bench and a painted blacktop full of games. They're also building a nature trail and outdoor classroom where teachers can take lessons outside.

There's a friendly competition, too: every class is racing to raise the most, and [Student]'s class could use your help!

To donate, visit westvincentpta.org/wildcat-walkathon. You can give online or through Venmo or PayPal. Please include [Student]'s name and teacher ([Teacher]) so it counts toward their class. Donations made by 11:59 PM on Thursday, October 15 count toward class standings.

Thank you so much for supporting [Student] and the Wildcats!
