We are just 2 weeks away from our 1st annual Wildcat Walk-a-Thon. If you haven't sent out your postcards yet, there is still time! Remember, donations can be made via check/cash or online at http://www.westvincentpta.org.
Why donate? All of the funds raised during the Walk-a-Thon support field trips, assemblies and other social and educational programs throughout the year, including Bingo Night, Family Art Night, Book Fairs, Masterminds Club, Publishing Center and more! Every student at West Vincent benefits from your generosity!
Every Tuesday is "Tally Tuesday." Last Tuesday, we announced that we already generated over $9000 in donations! Remember, if we raise $15,000, every class will receive an additional 15 minutes of recess. If we raise $20,000, an entire cooler of Gatorade will be dumped on Mr. Smith. That alone is reason to donate! If everyone donates even a few dollars, we will reach our goals! Last Tuesday, we also announced the top 3 classrooms - #1 Mrs. McDannell (3rd grade), #2 Mrs. Jardine (5th grade), #3 Mrs. Snow (PM Kindergarten). Be sure to check in to the West Vincent PTA Facebook page on Tuesday for updated totals and winners.
Because the Walk funds so many great programs at West Vincent, ALL students are winners! However, there are some great prizes too:
The top fundraiser from each grade will carry the Wildcat Walk-a-Thon banner on Walk day.

Raffle Prizes - every student will receive 1 raffle ticket. Additional raffle tickets are given for every additional $20 raised. Some of the raffle prizes include: Passes to Urban Air Trampoline Park, passes to the Turkey Hill Experience, gift cards to local restaurants, popular book series and more!
This is our biggest fundraiser of the year! We appreciate your help, enabling us to reach our goals and continue to provide the amazing programs that makes West Vincent Elementary so special!
All Pro Dad
West Vincent Dads, help us kick off Year 9 of the All Pro Dad program! The first PTA-sponsored All Pro Dad breakfast of the 2017-2018 school year will be held Thursday, October 19, 2017, from 7:00-8:00 am in the WVES All-Purpose Room. The topic of discussion will be "Responsibility". You can read more about this program on our website. Please rsvp to Mike Frederick at freds131@verizon.net, and if you are able to donate a food item, please click here to sign up. We look forward to seeing you and your child(ren) October 19.
Save the date of Wednesday, October 18 for the next PTA Meeting. It will be held at 6:00 pm in the school library.
