GOOD EVENING WILDCATS!

BRAIN SHOW FAMILY NIGHT

Plan to join us this week on Wednesday, November 13 from 6:30-8:00pm. at the WVES Auditorium for a free family event that is sure to please all ages. The Brain Show is as close as you can get to a Real Live TV Game Show. We are asking each family to donate a shelf stable item as your entrance fee to The Brain Show. Also, our Book Fair will also be open from 5:30-8:30 pm on the night of our Brain Show event. Feel free to come early and browse for books!

HOLIDAY SPIRIT WEAR SALE
The Holiday Spirit Wear Sale ends this Thursday, November 14 at 3pm. No late orders will be accepted. You can find some great cold weather items and new tee shirts at https://squareup.com/store/WVE. All items will be delivered to your child's classroom approximately 3 weeks after the end date of the sale. If you purchase an item for a gift that you don't want your child to see, please contact Katie Felmlee for special delivery instructions.

BOOK FAIR VOLUNTEERS NEEDED

The Fall 2019 Scholastic Book Fair starts tomorrow! The fair will be held Monday, November 11- Thursday, November 14. We will also be open on Wednesday, November 13 from 5:30-8:30pm before/during/after the Brain Show so you can experience and make purchases together as a family. **Due to unforeseen circumstances, the book fair will be closing on Thursday 11/14 immediately after school. There will be no sales made available on Friday. If you know your child will be missing their scheduled day at the fair, please consider attending Wednesday evening's sales event.

You may also SHOP ONLINE! Browse the fair from the comfort of your own home, make selections and chose to have your order shipped to your home or school. The online fair is now available year-round.

You can also add money to your child's "EWallet" through this same link.  Ewallet is a fantastically easy way for your child to make purchases. No printing necessary. We can simply look up your child's name by grade or classroom teacher.

Please consider volunteering during the fair. It's a great way to not only help your children and their class but to give back to the school at large. WE NEED YOU!  These special school events are not possible without your help.  Sign up here and follow the links to choose your shifts!

In addition, we are looking for an individual to be a Book Fair Chairperson (in training) with role responsibility effective 11/21. If you are interested in learning the role and responsibilities, please contact Jamie Williams.

CITADEL HEART OF LEARNING AWARD
The 19th annual Citadel Heart of Learning Award program has kicked off, and Citadel is officially accepting nominations. Every year, Citadel receives thousands of heartfelt nominations sent from students, parents, and community members for teachers who are making a true difference in their students’ lives. All finalists receive $500 to use in their classroom and are honored at the Citadel Heart of Learning Awards banquet in early May. Three winners are selected from the 15 finalists — one high school, one middle school, and one elementary school teacher — and each receives an additional $1,500 to use in their classroom. Additionally, the top three schools from Chester County that submit the most nominations receive the “Schools with Heart” award from Citadel and earn money to support assemblies or events.

Nominations for the teacher award program will be accepted through December 31, 2019, and can be submitted at CitadelHeartofLearning.com.
