Thank you to all who made it to Chick-fil-A last week! It was a busy evening full of fun and good food!
The Master Minds Game Club - open to 4th, 5th, and 6th graders - is set to begin it's winter session on November 6, 2017. It will run for 6 weeks. Master Minds is a club based on students playing logic games in order to expand their critical thinking, problem solving, concentration and more. The club takes place on Mondays from 3:1-4:30 pm at the school. You can find more details and sign up to register here. Space is limited, so sign up soon!
Please join us for West Vincent on Ice! On Tuesday, November 7 (while we have no school for a Professional Development Day), West Vincent families and friends can skate at Power Play Rinks for $7.00 (no passes or coupons will be accepted during that time) from 1:40 pm-3:10 pm. Ages 7 and under must wear helmets - either bike or approved ice hockey helmets. Power Play does not provide helmets.
Please join us for our West Vincent Elementary School Family Art Night on Wednesday, November 15, 2017 from 6:00-7:30 pm in our auditorium. Hop Toad Studio will lead us in a canvas painting project that will create a family masterpiece! This event is open to all West Vincent families, but space is limited. Please register your family's spot here and contact Anne Strawbridge with any questions.
The WV Applebee's Pancake Breakfast is on Saturday, November 4, 2017. From 8:00-10:00 am at the Applebee's in Lionville, you can enjoy unlimited pancakes, sausage, and beverages (coffee/tea/juice) for $7.50! Purchase tickets by November 1st by printing and filling out this form and sending in with your payment to the front office.
If you are able to lend a hand and volunteer at the breakfast, please sign up here.
Entries for the Reflections Art Contest are due in just 2 1/2 weeks - November 15! If your child has an interest in expressing him/herself through an art form (visual arts, photography, dance, film, music or literature), please have them consider submitting a piece for the contest in the theme of Within Reach. Entries can be taken to the front office and checked in with Mrs. Storti any time now. Please visit our website for details, contest rules, and the Student Entry Form. You may contact Lyn Noon with any questions.
--> A different school put out a YouTube video with details about the contest. You can view it here. Most of the information is relevant to us as well. Our office does not keep extra copies of the forms - those can be printed from our website.
Monday is Day 3.
Have a great week!
Lyn Noon
