WEST VINCENT’S GOT TALENT
Our school talent show, West Vincent's Got Talent, is a popular and fun event every year! All students in all grades (K-6) are invited to perform. Individual performances and group acts are welcome.
To bring our Talent Show to the next level in 2020 and make it an even better experience for students and families, and thanks to your feedback, we have implemented some changes for the show this year!
NEW THIS YEAR
We are asking acts to register in advance this Wednesday, December 18 at 7:00 pm on the PTA website (www.westvincentpta.org). This will appear in the Featured News section. Additionally, we are limiting acts to a total of 40. Note, this is acts, not students. We know some acts will have multiple students. Only one parent needs to register per act if it includes multiple students. There is also an updated timeline of all dates, listed below. We ask that acts strictly adhere to all deadlines.
NEW TIMELINE & PROCESS THIS YEAR
Wednesday, December 18 at 7:00 pm
Act registration goes live on www.westvincentpta.org. This will appear in the Featured News section. Make sure you have the names of all people in your act.
Between December 19 - 20
Registered acts (first 40) will be notified, sent permission slips and additional information. Acts on the waitlist will also be notified.
Monday, January 6
Printed permission slips and music must be turned into the office to the attention of PTA Talent Show.
Wednesday, January 15 at 5:30 pm
Preview and headshot photo night for all acts
Monday, January 20
Program “Shout Out” and ad deadline
Friday, January 31 at 5:30 pm
Dress Rehearsal night and group photo
Friday, February 7 at 6:00 pm

CITADEL HEART OF LEARNING AWARDThe deadline is approaching for nominations for the 19th annual Citadel Heart of Learning Award. Every year, Citadel receives thousands of heartfelt nominations sent from students, parents, and community members for teachers who are making a true difference in their students’ lives. All finalists receive $500 to use in their classroom and are honored at the Citadel Heart of Learning Awards banquet in early May. Three winners are selected from the 15 finalists — one high school, one middle school, and one elementary school teacher — and each receives an additional $1,500 to use in their classroom. Additionally, the top three schools from Chester County that submit the most nominations receive the “Schools with Heart” award from Citadel and earn money to support assemblies or events.
Nominations for the teacher award program will be accepted through December 31, 2019, and can be submitted at CitadelHeartofLearning.com.
